Exclusive: Betty Gilpin and Jake McDorman talk Peacock's Mrs. Davis
Now airing on Peacock is the sci-fi drama seres Mrs. Davis, starring Betty Gilpin as a nun using her faith to take on technology. Created by Tara Hernandez and Damon Lindelof, the series also stars Jake McDorman as Gilpin's rebellious ex, who also has a personal vendetta against the Algorithm, Andy McQueen, Ben Chaplin, Margo Martindale, David Arquette, Elizabeth Marvel, Katja Herbers, Chris Diamantopoulos, Ashley Romans, Tom Wlaschiha and Mathilde Ollivier.
Gilpin, a three-time Emmy nominee for her performance in Netflix’s GLOW, recently co-starred in Starz’s Gaslit opposite Julia Roberts and Sean Penn, and was featured in the Apple TV+ feminist anthology series Roar, executive produced by Nicole Kidman. Gilpin also stars in the upcoming Starz drama series Three Women, based on the bestselling book by Lisa Taddeo. On film, she starred in the horror film The Grudge, the bloody action thriller The Hunt, and the action comedy Coffee & Kareem.
McDorman’s recent credits include series regular roles in Hulu’s medical drama miniseries “Dopesick” and National Geographic’s historical space race series “The Right Stuff.” The 35-year-old actor also recurs on FX’s comedy series “What We Do in the Shadows.” He will next be seen starring alongside Kate Mara in FX’s limited series “Class of ’09.” On film, he also played the son to Bryan Cranston and Annette Bening’s lead characters in the Paramount+ crime comedy “Jerry and Marge Go Large.”
