Exclusive: Common talks Silo Season 2 and playing Robert Sims
Now playing on Apple TV+ is the second season to its acclaimed series, Silo.
Based on Howey’s New York Times bestselling trilogy “Wool,” “Silo” is the story of the last ten thousand people on Earth, their mile-deep home protecting them from the toxic and deadly world outside. However, no one knows when or why the silo was built and any who try to find out face fatal consequences. Rebecca Ferguson stars as Juliette, an engineer, who seeks answers about a loved one’s murder and tumbles onto a mystery that goes far deeper than she could have ever imagined, leading her to discover that if the lies don’t kill you, the truth will.
In addition to Ferguson, “Silo” season two stars Tim Robbins, Common, series newcomer Steve Zahn, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Clare Perkins, Billy Postlethwaite, Rick Gomez, Caitlin Zoz, Tanya Moodie and Iain Glen.
Common plays Robert Sims, Silo 18's head of security and Bernard's second-in-command. While he believes that he is qualified to learn more about the Silo's secrets, Bernard's apprehension has prevented him from ascending to a much more important position. Sims' loyalty to his family is his utmost priority, and he will do everything to protect them even from Bernard if things take a drastic turn.
Common's notable credits include John Wick: Chapter 2, Never Have I Ever, and Breathe.
