Exclusive: Hugh Dancy, Michelle Dockery & Kevin Doyle talk Downton Abbey: A New Era

Hitting theaters this week is Downton Abbey: A New Era, the sequel to the 2019 film Downton Abbey. Directed by Simon Curtis from a script written by Julian Fellowes, the cast includes Hugh Bonneville, Laura Carmichael, Jim Carter, Raquel Cassidy, Brendan Coyle, Michelle Dockery, Kevin Doyle, Joanne Froggatt, Michael Fox, Harry Hadden-Paton, Robert James-Collier, Allen Leech, Phyllis Logan, Elizabeth McGovern, Sophie McShera, Tuppence Middleton, Lesley Nicol, Douglas Reith, Maggie Smith, Imelda Staunton, Penelope Wilton, Hugh Dancy, Laura Haddock, Nathalie Baye, Dominic West and Jonathan Zaccaï.

From award-winning creator Julian Fellowes comes the motion picture event DOWNTON ABBEY: A NEWERA. The much-anticipated cinematic return of the global phenomenon reunites the beloved cast as they go on a grand journey to the South of France to uncover the mystery of the Dowager Countess’ newly inherited villa.

Hugh Dancy plays new cast member movie director Jack Barber, while Michelle Dockery and Kevin Doyle reprise their roles as Lady Mary Talbot and Joseph Molesley respectively. Blackfilmandtv.com’s Wilson Morales spoke with the trio on whether the franchise can continue to go on the big screen.
