Exclusive: Jessica Williams talks Fantastic Beasts The Secrets of Dumbledore
Coming out this week in theaters from Warner Bros. Pictures is Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, which is once again directed by David Yates from a screenplay written by J.K. Rowling and Steve Kloves
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore sees the return of Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Katherine Waterston as Tina Goldstein, Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein, Ezra Miller as Credence, Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore, Jessica Williams as Professor Eulalie Hicks, and Callum Turner as Theseus.
The film is also set to introduce Mads Mikkelsen as the new Gellert Grindelwald, the villainous character first portrayed by Johnny Depp.
“Professor Albus Dumbledore knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is moving to seize control of the wizarding world,” reads the official synopsis. “Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?”
Last seen opposite William Jackson Harper in the HBO Max romantic comedy anthology Love Life, Williams is best known for her run as a correspondent on The Daily Show and for co-hosting the podcast and HBO special 2 Dope Queens. Her film credits a starring role in the Netflix comedy The Incredible Jessica James, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Corporate Animals, and Booksmart.
