Exclusive: Megan Suri and Betty Gabriel talk horror film It Lives Inside

Hitting theaters on Sept. 22 from Neon is the horror film It Lives Inside, the directorial debut from filmmaker Bishal Dutta. The cast includes Megan Suri, Neeru BajwaMohana KrishnanBetty GabrielVik Sahay, and Gage Marsh.

Sam is desperate to fit in at school, rejecting her Indian culture and family to be like everyone else. When a mythological demonic spirit latches onto her former best friend, she must come to terms with her heritage in order to defeat it.

The script was written by Bishal Dutta, from a story by Ashish Mehta. Produced by Raymond Mansfield and Sean McKittrick, the film initially premiered at the 2023 SXSW Film Festival earlier this year where it won the Midnight Audience Award.

Megan was recently seen in the feature film MISSING for Sony Pictures, opposite Storm Reid and Nia Long. The innovative thriller is the second installment in the SEARCHING franchise. She can also be seen in Rian Johnson’s newest series, POKER FACE for Peacock, opposite Natasha Lyonne. Megan is perhaps best known for her breakout role as ‘Aneesa’ role in Netflix’s highly popular series NEVER HAVE I EVER.

Best known for her performance as ‘Georgina’ in Jordan Peele’s Oscar nominated feature film, GET OUT, Betty Gabriel was recently seen in the third and fourth seasons of Prime Video’s JACK RYAN. Her previous TV and film credits include HUMAN CAPITAL with Liev Scheiber, Maya Hawke and Alex Wolff, THE PURGE: ELECTION YEAR, the Netflix limited series, CLICKBAIT opposite Zoe Kazan and the Apple limited series, DEFENDING JACOB.
