Exclusive: Miles Teller and Juno Temple on starring in The Offer, the making of the Godfather series

Premiering on Paramount+ on April 28th with the first three episodes is the ten-episode limited series “The Offer” which explores the production of Francis Ford Coppola’s “The Godfather”.

THE OFFER is based on Oscar®-winning producer Albert S. Ruddy’s extraordinary, never-before-seen experiences of making “The Godfather.” From budget constraints to an unwilling director, to other failed gangster movies, the production was an uphill battle but it yielded the 1972 film that remains one of the greatest of all time.

The series stars Miles Teller as Albert S. Ruddy, Matthew Goode as Robert Evans, Juno Temple as Bettye McCartt, Giovanni Ribisi as Joe Colombo, Dan Fogler as Francis Ford Coppola, Burn Gorman as Charles Bluhdorn, Colin Hanks as Barry Lapidus and Patrick Gallo as Mario Puzo.

Known for his roles in The Spectacular Now, Whiplash, The Divergent Series, War Dogs, Thank You for Your Service, and the upcoming Top Gun: Maverick, Miles Teller is Al Ruddy, who co-created the CBS sitcom Hogan's Heroes. Ruddy would then produced The Godfather and win the Oscar for Best Picture. His other films included The Longest Yards and Cannonball Run with Burt Reynolds. His next Oscar would come for producing the Best Picture film Million Dollar Baby, directed by Clint Eastwood.

Juno Temple plays Bettye McCartt, Ruddy’s most trusted assistant. In the series, she’s the brains that clues Ruddy in to the business of Hollywood and who’s who. McCartt would later become an agent to stars such as Tom Selleck, Maureen O’Hara, Anthony Quinn, Wilford Brimley, George Clooney, Billy D. Williams and Brian Austin Green. Currently shining in the role as Keeley Jones in the Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso, Temple’s film credits include Notes on a Scandal, Atonement, The Other Boleyn Girl, The Dark Knight Rises, Magic Magic, Maleficent, Black Mass and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.

Blackfilmandtv.com’s Wilson Morales spoke with Teller and Temple regarding their roles in the The Offer.
