Griffin Matthews Talks The Flight Attendant Season 2

Very recently, HBO Max hosted a special VIP screening for the second season of its series The Flight Attendant with a Q & A with cast member Griffin Matthews. The event was held at the TWA Hotel at JFK Airport with Episode 4 shown and cocktails and hors d'oeuvres being served.

Moderated by award winning journalist Jack Rico, Matthews talked about what to expect from his role as Shane Evans, a flight attendant and a friend of Cassie's

Season 2 takes place a year after the events of the previous season. Cassie Bowden (Kaley Cuoco) now works part-time as an asset for the CIA, where she surveils people in between flights. She has been sober for a year, is a regular member of Alcoholics Anonymous, and has relocated to Los Angeles, where she has a new boyfriend, Marco.

During an assignment in Berlin, her target is assassinated by a woman pretending to be her, down to the tattoo. She is haunted by the images of her doppelgänger and tries to figure out who is impersonating her, while suffering hallucinations once again, this time of the past versions of herself who try to persuade her to revert to who she once was. Returning series regulars also include Zosia Mamet, Griffin Matthews, Deniz Akdeniz and Rosie Perez.

Matthews’ TV credits also include Dear White People, Ballers, Law & Order: SVU, The Carrie Diaries, Doll & Em and Cashmere Mafia. He recently appeared with Issa Rae in the Apple TV+ anthology series Roar.
