Exclusive: Patti Harrison, Oscar Nunez, & Da’Vine Joy Randolph talk The Lost City
Coming out this week in theaters from Paramount Pictures is the adventure film The Lost City, directed by Adam Nee and Aaron Nee and starring Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum, Daniel Radcliffe, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Oscar Nuñez, Patti Harrison, and Bowen Yang.
Brilliant, but reclusive author Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock) has spent her career writing about exotic places in her popular romance-adventure novels featuring handsome cover model Alan (Channing Tatum), who has dedicated his life to embodying the hero character, “Dash.” While on tour promoting her new book with Alan, Loretta is kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire (Daniel Radcliffe) who hopes that she can lead him to the ancient lost city’s treasure from her latest story. Wanting to prove that he can be a hero in real life and not just on the pages of her books, Alan sets off to rescue her. Thrust into an epic jungle adventure, the unlikely pair will need to work together to survive the elements and find the ancient treasure before it’s lost forever.
Harrison starred in the 2021 Sundance Film Festival selection “Together Together” with Ed Helms and made history as the first trans actor to voice a character in a Disney film, the animated “Raya and the Last Dragon.” She also appeared in the 2018 Blake Lively film “A Simple Favor,” and had a recurring role on Aidy Bryant’s Hulu series “Shrill.”
For Nunez, who is best known for his role as Oscar on “The Office,” he gets to reunite with Sandra Bullock. He had a scene-stealing role in the 2009 romantic comedy “The Proposal” as the town’s resident waiter, minister, nd exotic dancer. Nunez has guest appeared in dozens of popular television shows, including “New Girl,” “Reno 911” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
Randolph is best known for her breakout performance in the Netflix comedy “Dolemite Is My Name” which starred Eddie Murphy and Wesley Snipes. She followed that up with Lee Daniels’ “The United States vs. Billie Holiday,” and starred in the romantic comedy television series “High Fidelity.”
