Exclusive: Requiem for a Power OG - Shane Johnson talks Cooper Saxe’s Death in Power Book II: Ghost Season 3

Blackfilmandtv.com’s Wilson Morales spoke exclusively with Shane Johnson regarding his role as Cooper Saxe on Power Book II: Ghost.

Spoiler Alert: In last night’s episode (#308 “Sacrifice”) - Johnson’s character, Defense Attorney Cooper Saxe was killed by Theo, the brother of his partner Davis Maclean (played by Method Man). For Johnson, it’s end of a long run in the Power Universe. He was the longest serving actor in the franchise, having logged in 63 episodes from Power and 28 from Power Book II: Ghost. He went from having one line in the first episode of Power to lasting six seasons on that show and nearly 3 on Ghost.

Many times, Cooper Saxe avoided death from James ‘Ghost’ St. Patrick, Tommy Egan, Tosha St. Patrick, and Tariq St. Patrick. He even managed to get fired from one high profiled job as a U.S Attorney for the FBI and land another from the opposite side.
