Exclusive: Tim McGraw talks Yellowstone prequel 1883 and working with Taylor Sheridan and wife Faith Hill

Airing tonight on the Paramount Network with a Two Episode Premiere is the “Yellowstone” Prequel “1883,” created by Academy Award® Nominee Taylor Sheridan.

Premiering December 19th on Paramount+, the original series stars Paramount Network will air a special simulcast premiere event for 1883 on Sunday, Dec. 19, following a new episode of YELLOWSTONE.

Academy Award® nominee legend Sam Elliott, Grammy Award® Winner Tim McGraw, Grammy Award Winner Faith Hill, Academy Award winner Billy Bob Thornton, Isabel May and LaMonica Garrett.

1883 follows the Dutton family as they embark on a journey west through the Great Plains toward the last bastion of untamed America. It is a stark retelling of Western expansion, and an intense study of one family fleeing poverty to seek a better future in America’s promised land – Montana.

For Grammy-winner McGraw, whose previous acting credits include Friday Night Lights, Country Strong, The Shack and The Blind Side, he and his wife Faith Hill portray James and Margaret Dutton, the patriarch and matriarch of the Dutton family, respectively and and great-grandparents of John Dutton, portrayed by Kevin Costner in “Yellowstone.”

BlackFilmandTV.com’s Wilson Morales spoke with McGraw about working with Taylor Sheridan and with his wife on a series that’s highly anticipated.
