Allbirds travel shoes to wear during film festivals

As the Oscar season begins to start with various film festivals, it’s also a good time to invest in new walking shoes/ sneakers. The Venice Festival Festival is too far for me to travel but Toronto is nearby from New York and I will attending its festival in the coming days. The thing about festivals such as Sundance and Toronto is that one does a lot of walking from screening to screening. The New York Film Festival uses one location with two theaters, the Walter Reade Theater and Alice Tully Hall, so there’s not much traveling in the area but Toronto offers around six to seven theater locations for its premieres and press screenings. Depending where one is staying at, one can get by without the use of subway or car, provided they have the patience to walk.

This is where the most comfortable shows come in hand, and one such product is the Men’s Wool Dasher Mizzle from Allbirds. I went and got the Comet (purple) because it stands out and when you have a color that’s rarely used, you want to flaunt it. It slips on with ease and is water resistant. Not only can one use the shoes for walking, but it’s great for running as well. They are so fitting for the foot that you may wear them every day.

Over the years with the shoes and sneakers I’ve worn to festivals, there were signs of wear and tear but with these kicks, you can go at least six months or more without sensing the need to get a new pair or fix them if the soles are damaged. If you’ve been to the Toronto International Film Festival and you happen to be a press person, you will definitely be walking from King St to the Winter Garden at least once. It doesn’t pay to get a cab unless you are in a major rush. With the right shoes, and clothes (if you’re not going to a premiere), you can’t wrong with the Dasher Mizzle.
