Delroy Lindo Joins Michael B. Jordan in Ryan Coogler’s Untitled Supernatural Thriller
THR reports that Delroy Lindo has closed a deal to join Michael B. Jordan and Jack O’Connell in the untitled supernatural horror thriller that Ryan Coogler is directing for Warner Bros.
Little is known about that project — and what is known has yet to be confirmed by either the studio or Coogler. Insiders say the feature is set in the Jim Crow-era South, and possibly involves both vampires and Southern supernatural traditions. Jordan may be playing dual roles — as twin brothers. Jack O’Connell was cast as a villain.
Coogler wrote the script and is also producing via his production company Proximity Media. Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian are also producing. The feature is gearing up for a shoot later this spring in New Orleans. The studio has set a March 7, 2025, release date. It will also play in Imax theaters.
Lindo, who recently starred opposite Kerry Washington in Hulu’s Unprisoned series, appeared in Netflix’s The Harder They Fall and had a commanding performance in 2019’s Da 5 Bloods.
