Saturday Night Live Promotes Ego Nwodim To Main Cast Member For Season 46

Deadline is reporting that Saturday Night Live has upped Ego Nwodim from featured player to a repertory player ahead of NBC late-night program’s 46th season. Nwodim was the only second-year featured player last season. She was joined by new SNL cast additions Bowen Yang and Chloe Fineman.

The Nigerian native graduated from USC with a degree in biology and has been a regular cast member at the UCB Theatre in Los Angeles, where she performed her one-woman show Great Black Women … and Then There’s Me.

Nwodim has also guest-starred in Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders, Do You Want to See a Dead Body?, 2 Broke Girls, Liv and Maddie, K.C. Undercover, Living Biblically and the upcoming comedy film It’s A Party. She was also featured in online original series like College Humor Originals and The Elite Daily Show.
