Exclusive: Archie Madekwe and director Emerald Fennell talk Saltburn
Hitting select US theaters staring November 17th, 2023 is Saltburn, written and directed by Oscar winner Emerald Fennell, and starring Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi, Rosamund Pike, Richard E. Grant, Alison Oliver, Archie Madekwe, Carey Mulligan, Paul Rhys, Lolly Adefope, and Ewan Mitchell.
"Don't get lost." A wicked tale of privilege and desire. Struggling to find his place at Oxford University, student Oliver Quick (Barry Keoghan) finds himself drawn into the world of the charming and aristocratic Felix Catton (Jacob Elordi), who invites him to Saltburn, his eccentric family’s sprawling estate, for a summer never to be forgotten.
The film was produced by Tom Ackerley, Emerald Fennell, Josey McNamara, Margot Robbie. The film is premiering at the 2023 London Film Festival and also at the Telluride Film Festival.
Madekwe previously starred in the sports drama Gran Turismo, the true story of Jann Mardenborough, a teenage Gran Turismo player who became a professional racing car driver. He was also featured in the spy thriller Heart of Stone, which starred Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan.
Fennell making her second feature film after Promising Young Woman previously (which won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay).
