Exclusive: Tom Hiddleston On Why ‘Loki’ Is Always A Riddle To Solve But Fascinating To Watch

Debuting this Wednesday, June 9 on Disney+ is Marvel Studios’ “Loki,” in which Tom Hiddleston is reprising his role from all three “Thor” films, 2012’s “The Avengers,” and 2018’s “Avengers: Infinity War.” Hiddleston last portrayed the God of Mischief in last year’s highest-grossing film of all time “Avengers: Endgame,” where he successfully had stolen the Tesseract during Iron Man and Ant Man’s failed attempt to retrieve it.

Marvel Studios’ “Loki” features the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” It’s the franchise’s third television show on Disney’s streaming service following WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs “Loki,” and Michael Waldron is head writer.

BlackFilmandTV.com’s Wilson Morales spoke with Hiddleston on why Loki is a popular villain yet to challenging to understand and hopefully the series will give insight to his psyche.
